About

I’m a freelance audio journalist, podcast producer and sound designer.

With over a decade of experience in the audio industry, I’ve been lucky enough to make a wide range of projects for numerous clients (BBC, Sky News, The Economist, Gucci, Little White Lies etc). The work has taken me to places I never could have predicted - Dominic Cummings’ living room, Pharoahe Monch’s hotel room, the Royal Albert Hall, election night in Bishop Auckland, the US Ambassador’s residence, Real Bedford Football Club, the Cambridge Folk Festival, a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu centre, Delph.

It all started in Leeds in 2010 when a radio show I co-hosted called David Gower’s Power Hour won a National Student Radio Award. I then moved to Manchester to produce live radio shows and events for BBC Radio 2 and 6 Music. I started to make documentaries for BBC Radio 1 & 1Xtra and founded the Truth & Movies podcast for the film publication Little White Lies.

After moving to London I produced the award winning Music Life podcast for BBC World Service and documentary series for The Economist and BBC Radio 4 - one of which saw presenter Helen Lewis nominated for The Orwell Prize for Journalism.

As a classically trained pianist and music producer I create bespoke sound design and scores under the Coach Conrad moniker - most recently for BBC Radio 4’s Helen Lewis Has Left The Chat…

I also co-host The Noughties Podcast, distributed via 4kicks Productions - a company I recently co-founded to develop new stories in audio.
